Campbell County Sheriff's Posse: Search and Rescue Team

CCPL welcomes the Campbell County Sheriff's Posse Search and Rescue Team on Thursdays, June 5, 12, and 19, all 6:30-8:30pm at your library.

Did you know Campbell County has a Posse? Learn about the team and their resources as well as how to take care of yourself in the wilderness. During this class you'll learn about maximizing safety, survivability, and a speedy rescue -- not long-term field craft or living "off the grid."

6:30-7:30pm

• Learn about preparing for any type of outing to minimize the risk of getting lost
• If you get lost, learn steps to take to stay safe and aid the Posse in for a speedy rescue

7:30-8:30pm

• Learn the fundamentals of survival and a range of carry items from minimalist to advanced
• Learn how to identify options to replace "equipment" should you be unprepared
• Techniques demonstration
